沼津日枝神社 花まつり
＜ソメイヨシノ 神社約30本、公園約20本＞ ろうそくの灯で情緒アップ
地元で山王（さんのう）さんと親しまれている日枝神社の花まつりは、無病息災を願う恒例行事で毎年1日～10日に行われます。この境内には、ソメイヨシノの桜が約30本、公園とあわせて50本ほどが咲きます。100本以上のろうそくの灯によるぼんぼりで照らされ、電気照明では味わえない情緒ある明かりの下で夜桜が楽しめます。期間中に「鎮花祭」の神事も行われます。

Hie shrine’s flower festival is an event which is held every year between the 1st and 10th of April to pray for good health for the coming year. Around 50 cherry blossom trees (with 30 of the Yoshino variety) are in full bloom during this event. At night you can enjoy the cherry blossoms illuminated by candle-lit paper lanterns.
